Amanda is one of the founder partners at Angel Wilkins. Having previously worked for Charles Lucas & Marshall in Swindon, she then went on to form the company with Neil Angel in 2010.
As a practising Legal Executive, she specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing; so talk to her about sales, purchases, Right to Buy, new builds and shared ownership. It’s the speaking to clients and agents (and really anyone who calls in) that Amanda most enjoys about her job – putting people at ease to make the legal process a much more personable and pleasant experience. With Amanda, law is definitely less formal and daunting!
When not taking client enquiries outside of work hours, you’ll find her walking her dogs or experimenting with her new-found passion: cooking spicy food. Rumour has it that she also knocks up a mean cocktail although we’re not sure whether that’s to disguise her cooking…
In a world away from Angel Wilkins, Amanda would indulge her love of travelling. Or run her own bridal shop!
Neil is one of the firm’s co-founders, together with Amanda Wilkins. Having qualified as a solicitor in 1995, he then embarked on their joint venture in early 2010. And since those first few days waiting for the work to come in, the business has gone on to become one of the busiest law firms in the region.
He has specialised in residential conveyancing work throughout his entire career and lives for the client-focused service that Angel Wilkins is renowned for. There’s no doubt that looking after clients in the right way has been the cornerstone of the business, even if it has resulted in the occasional 3.30am start to ensure just that! Dedicated? Yes. Insomniac? Maybe.
Neil’s other main focus can be summed up in one word: cars. He’ll openly admit they’re a guilty pleasure but is only just coming around to the fact he can only drive one at a time. Perhaps his annual insurance renewals might help him to reflect more on that…
When not sat in a car or at his desk, Neil likes to find time for running, reading and struggling with French. Two words he’s particularly mastered are ‘très’ and ‘difficile’.
Doing more property renovation and travelling is a hope for the future – in France, of course – although this is somewhat dependent upon finding more time and improving his Franglais!
Liz handles all types of residential property work including all aspects of freehold and leasehold transactions. Specifically, this covers individual sales and purchases, remortgages, shared ownership and transfers of equity, as well as probate sales.
Part of the Angel Wilkins team since 2012, it’s her 20+ years of property practice and complete commitment to clients that helps them feel comfortable with the whole process – bringing peace of mind to what’s often one of the biggest financial decisions they’re likely to face in life.
As a busy mum, leisure time can be hard to come by… but Elizabeth does enjoy spending time with her daughter and watching her horse riding. She also looks forward to spending the occasional day out at the races.
And if any more of that ever-elusive free time did materialise, what would be top of the list? Nothing but total relaxation and precious quality time with her family!
Helen is a residential property solicitor and deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including building plots and land for development, newbuild sales, lease variations, deeds of easement, transfers of equity and remortgages.
Having qualified in 2008, Helen was a locum solicitor here from 2011 before permanently joining the team in 2013. In all that time, one thing has never changed: the buzz she gets from the variety of work that comes in and seeing how happy clients are once everything is sorted!
With a lust for exercise and fitness, she is a self-confessed circuit training and spin class addict, and aspiring triathlete… who also loves cooking, crochet, cocktails, and music concerts – although not necessarily in that order!
It’s hard to imagine, but if any time was left from doing all of that, then you’d find Helen forging an alternative career writing paranormal romantic novels (we don’t know either) or as a holistic therapy practitioner.
Kirsty specialises in residential conveyancing including sales, purchases, the Help to Buy scheme, transfers of equity and remortgages.
She joined us straight after completing her law degree in 2014 and has since excelled in learning as much as possible about the world of conveyancing – just ask some of our clients! As for other aspects of the job Kirsty enjoys most, it’s all about meeting new people and the variety of work that comes through the door – along with being kept nicely busy!
In her downtime, Kirsty loves socialising and getting to the gym for just the right amount of exercise. Most of all, though, she prides herself on cooking meals from scratch so you know exactly what’s gone into the food…
And if she wasn’t doing any of that? Well, it’d have to be studying astronomy or opening a bijou, healthy café serving lots of avocado!
Having joined us in 2018 as a trainee conveyancer, Dan quickly made the step up to become a fully-fledged Conveyancing Executive. As a young Padawan developed by Amanda, he’s now putting all that conveyancing knowledge into practice – something his clients appreciate very much!
When not immersed in all things property-related, you’re likely to find Dan racing around the Oxfordshire countryside training for his next triathlon, or indulging his love of cooking and food under the guise of ‘carb-loading’.
And in a completely alternative universe, he’d resurrect his student radio talents – presumably as resident DJ on Angel Wilkins FM, playing topical pop-picker hits such as ‘Our house’ and ‘Take me home, country roads’…
